Bless & Go
At St. Michael & All Angels, we believe that our ministry extends far beyond the church walls. We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world, moving from worship into action. By generously offering our Time in service, our unique Talents in ministry, and our Treasure to support God’s work, we participate in the transformation of our community. Explore the opportunities below to see how you can bless others as you go forth into the world.
Opportunities to Offer our Time, Talent, & Treasure.

Altar Guild
Our altar guild is composed of teams that each take one Sunday a month to prepare the church for worship. The flower guild works with the altar guild to provide an arrangement for every Sunday. Your help would be most welcome!

Hospitality & Fellowship
Welcome is one of our core values. Our hospitality team provides welcome bags to visitors and prepares our parish hall for special events, including First Sunday Potlucks and the occasional Fellowship Breakfast.

Landscape
We know that many people attend St. Michael's for the first time because they are drawn to our beautiful grounds. The landscape team keeps our plants healthy and the lawn mowed.

Pastoral Care
Our pastoral care team prays for those on our prayer list and ministers to members of our congregation by providing meals, flowers, or other types of support. A smaller group within the pastoral care team is trained to make home visits and share communion.

Mission & Outreach
Our mission and outreach team meets every other month (Jan, March, May, July, September, November) on the second Wednesday at 9:45 in the parish hall to discuss needs in the community and disperse outreach funds. We support the Blanco Good Samaritan Center, the Food Bank in Johnson City, the Family Crisis Center in Marble Falls, the Blanco Ministerial Alliance, and more, both local and further afield. The Mission and Outreach Team coordinates St. Michael's participation in Meals on Wheels and the Blanco initiative, Lunches of Love. Our members also staff the First Aid Booth at the Blanco Lavender Festival every year. All are welcome to participate in this ministry.

Sunday Morning Lay Ministry
Every Sunday involves the work of 13-16 volunteers, not counting the altar guild. Each service requires a host, acolyte, Lay Eucharistic Minister and reader, and oblationers (people that carry the bread and wine to the altar). So that the 10:30 service may be livestreamed, that service also needs a technician to run the equipment. On weeks that we do not have an organist, volunteers act as the "DJ" to play pre-recorded hymns. There is always room to include more people in our roster.

String Team
Our String Team, made up of talented musicians in our congregation, plays 3-4 times per year. They meet to practice in the month leading up to their next planned service. If you play a stringed instrument, you are welcome to join!
